A Pakistani national has won the Dh15 million grand prize in Big Ticket’s Series 290 live draw in Abu Dhabi.
The massive prize is worth approximately Rs1.14 billion, making it a life-changing windfall for Shaukat Aftab from Pakistan.
Aftab emerged as the grand prize winner after ticket number 245556 was selected during the live draw.
The winning ticket was picked by last month’s winner, Reynaldo Herboso from the Philippines, during the Abu Dhabi event.
Aftab was then contacted by phone and initially struggled to believe that his ticket had secured the jackpot.
“Oh my God! Thank you very much. Love you. So grateful and very happy to know,” exclaimed Aftab.
Initially, Aftab expressed doubts about his win, but checking the live draw on YouTube quickly confirmed the result.
He was then filled with joy after realising that the winning ticket actually belonged to him.
The Dh15 million jackpot has made Aftab the latest participant to join Big Ticket’s growing list of major winners.
Another Winner Drives Away in a Land Rover Defender
The latest draw also produced a major prize for an Indian expatriate living in Dubai.
Ravindranathan Vinesh won a brand-new Land Rover Defender after his ticket number 035787 was selected.
The luxury vehicle added another major highlight to the latest draw, giving one participant a premium SUV.
Meanwhile, five participants each secured Dh100,000 consolation prizes during the same draw.
The winners included Sandeepkumar Nanera from India, who held ticket number 108576 for the draw.
Mohammed Rafiquil Islam Ahmed Meah Talukder from Bangladesh, who lives in Dubai, won with ticket number 112622.
Mullapulli Praveen Babu from India, who lives in Sharjah, secured the prize with ticket number 303871.
Suresh Kumar from India, who lives in Dubai, won with ticket number 046354.
Shiblin Sarfaz from India, who also lives in Dubai, won with ticket number 250439.
Big Spin Brings More Cash Prizes
The excitement continued with the Big Spin, where three participants also secured substantial cash prizes.
Jinkie Sandoval, a Filipino national residing in Dubai, won Dh50,000 during the live game.
Mohammed Kamal Hossan, a Bangladeshi national residing in Oman, took home the much larger prize of Dh500,000.
Meanwhile, an Indian national residing in Sharjah walked away with Dh150,000 from the Big Spin.
The next Big Spin contestants have also been announced, keeping the anticipation alive for the upcoming game.
They include MD Nasir Uddin from Bangladesh, who lives in Saudi Arabia and holds ticket number 037559.
Arun Kumar Yada Bhagelu Yadav from India, who lives in Dubai, has ticket number 086721.
Taha Ahmed from Egypt, who lives in Dubai, has ticket number 064400.
Next Big Ticket Jackpot Reaches Dh20 Million
With the Series 290 winners announced, attention now turns towards the next Big Ticket promotion. The upcoming promotion will feature an even larger Dh20 million grand prize for one lucky participant.
In addition, participants will have opportunities to win two luxury vehicles in the upcoming draws.
A Nissan Patrol will be awarded during the October 3 draw, adding another major prize to the promotion. A Range Rover Velar will then be awarded during the November 3 draw.
