Pakistanโs top shooters are preparing for a major international challenge as the country announces its squad for the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol event.
The competition will take place in Germany from May 24 to May 31. Moreover, the event will feature leading shooters from different countries.
A total of 11 Pakistani athletes will participate in multiple rifle and pistol categories during the tournament.
Pakistan Names Strong Squad for ISSF World Cup
The selected squad includes experienced names and promising young athletes. Several shooters will compete in both individual and mixed team events.
Ghufran Adil will participate in the 10m Air Rifle and 50m Rifle 3-Position events.
Meanwhile, G.M. Bashir and M. Umer Farooq will compete in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol category.
Focus on Air Pistol Events
Gulfam Joseph will represent Pakistan in the individual and mixed team events of the 10m Air Pistol category.
Similarly, Rabia Kabir will compete in the 10m Air Pistol and 25m Pistol events.
The air pistol events remain highly competitive at the international level. Therefore, Pakistanโs shooters will look to deliver strong performances against world-class opponents.
Pakistanโs Air Rifle Shooters Ready for Action
Mehr Khaliq will feature in both the individual and mixed team events of the 10m Air Rifle competition.
At the same time, Sulaiman Khan will also compete in the same categories.
Aqib Latif will participate in the 10m Air Rifle and 50m Rifle 3-Position events.
Meanwhile, M. Uzman has also been selected for the 10m Air Rifle and 50m Rifle 3-Position competitions.
Rapid Fire and Womenโs Pistol Events
Maqbool Tabbassum will compete in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event.
In the womenโs category, Kishmala Talat will take part in the 25m Pistol event.
She will also participate in the individual and mixed team events of the 10m Air Pistol category.
