
Pakistan’s athletes delivered an impressive showing at the Asian Beach Games, clinching two silver medals in wrestling and a bronze in kabaddi. As a result, the country’s overall medal tally reached three, reflecting a strong presence in regional competition.
Wrestlers shine despite narrow final defeats
Notably, international wrestler Muhammad Inam Butt and fellow athlete Asadullah advanced to the finals after a series of determined performances.Along the way, both competitors defeated tough opponents to secure their spots. However, they ultimately fell short against skilled wrestlers from Iran, settling for silver medals.
Officials praise determination and teamwork
Arshad Sattar, who is the president of Pakistan Wrestling Federation, extended his congratulations to the participants and coaches. He highlighted the significance of the wrestlers’ efforts in carrying the flag of their nation with honor and giving an excellent performance in the international arena.
However, he added that despite the fact that their performance was not as good as expected, they showed great dedication, commitment, and fighting spirit towards their goals. This clearly indicates that wrestling in Pakistan is developing day by day.
The secretary-general of the federation thanked several organizations for supporting the wrestlers, such as Pakistan Olympic Association, Pakistan Sports Board, Pakistan WAPDA, and Pakistan Army. He stressed that the contribution of these organizations has been extremely valuable for the success of the wrestlers.
Inam Butt thanked these organizations for their support and contributions towards the wrestlers’ training and preparation process.
