Pakistan Navy ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK conducted a joint counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea. The operation resulted in the seizure of more than 2,800 kilograms of narcotics valued at approximately $750 million.
During routine patrols, the naval team intercepted a suspicious boat in the Arabian Sea. Personnel searched the vessel and recovered narcotics hidden inside concealed compartments.

The Pakistan Navy said the operation demonstrated its continued surveillance and vigilance at sea. Officials said the seizure also reflected efforts to counter illicit trafficking and strengthen regional maritime security.
The successful operation involved officers and crew members from PNS HUNAIN and PNS YARMOOK. Their actions helped prevent a significant quantity of narcotics from reaching its intended destination.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf commended the personnel involved in the operation. He praised their professionalism, vigilance, and dedication during the counter-narcotics mission.
Navy Reaffirms Maritime Security Commitment
Admiral Naveed Ashraf said the Pakistan Navy remains committed to safeguarding national maritime interests. He added that the force would continue supporting good order at sea and contributing to global maritime security.
The latest seizure follows another major operation conducted in October 2025. During that operation, the Pakistan Navy seized narcotics worth approximately $972 million in the North Arabian Sea.
At the time, YARMOOK operated under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force of the Combined Maritime Forces. The vessel carried out the earlier operation as part of international maritime security efforts.
