Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Spain on winning the FIFA World Cup 2026, praising the team’s outstanding performance throughout the tournament. He highlighted Spain’s skill, discipline, teamwork, and determination that helped them secure the historic victory.
In a message shared on the Private Post, the prime minister appreciated the Spanish national team for displaying exceptional abilities during the competition.
He also congratulated the host nations for successfully organizing the major sporting event. Shehbaz Sharif extended his greetings to US President Donald Trump and the people of the United States for their role in hosting the tournament.
“I extend my heartiest felicitations to President Donald Trump and the people of the United States, on the exceptional arrangements and successful hosting of this historic tournament,” he said.
Appreciation for FIFA World Cup Organizers
The prime minister also praised Mexico and Canada for their cooperation in hosting the FIFA World Cup alongside the United States.
“I also express my appreciation to the governments and peoples of Mexico and Canada for their excellent partnership in hosting the FIFA World Cup with such distinction.”
Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif recognized FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the FIFA team for organizing the global event successfully.
He stated that the tournament would strengthen football’s position as an international sport. According to him, the World Cup continues to bring people together through shared passion and competition.
