Pakistan and Indonesia have agreed to strengthen defence cooperation during high-level military talks in Rawalpindi.
Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali, Chief of the Indonesian Navy, met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters on Monday.
The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation. Both sides also reviewed their existing military-to-military relationship.
Pakistan, Indonesia Discuss Defence Cooperation
During the meeting, Pakistan and Indonesia expressed satisfaction with their existing military ties. They also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in several key areas.
The two countries particularly highlighted professional training, defence collaboration and joint military exercises. These areas are expected to remain important parts of their continued defence engagement.
The discussions also covered regional security matters. Therefore, both sides used the meeting to reaffirm the importance of closer defence coordination.
