Pakistan and Belarus reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation during high-level talks. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the SCO Foreign Ministers’ gathering in Kyrgyzstan.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov on Saturday. Both leaders reviewed the current state of Pakistan-Belarus relations.
The ministers expressed satisfaction with ongoing diplomatic engagement between both countries. Moreover, they looked forward to the ninth Pakistan-Belarus Joint Ministerial Commission next month.
Pakistan will host the commission to strengthen bilateral cooperation further. Consequently, both sides also agreed to continue regular high-level exchanges.
Ministers Discuss Trade And Strategic Cooperation
The two leaders explored ways to expand economic and trade relations. They also discussed greater collaboration in defence, agriculture, technology, and workforce development.
Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the Roadmap for Comprehensive Cooperation 2025–2027. Furthermore, they pledged to strengthen partnerships across multiple strategic sectors.
The discussions also covered regional developments and other matters of mutual interest. Both sides emphasised the importance of continued diplomatic engagement.
Belarus Commends Pakistan’s Regional Peace Efforts
Foreign Minister Ryzhenkov praised Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role during the US-Iran situation. He also acknowledged Islamabad’s continued efforts to promote regional peace and security.
The meeting reflected both countries’ commitment to stronger bilateral relations. Therefore, officials expect continued cooperation through future diplomatic engagements and joint initiatives.
Pakistan and Belarus continue expanding partnerships across economic and strategic sectors. Meanwhile, both governments remain focused on enhancing long-term bilateral cooperation.
