The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced new facilities on the Pak Hajj App, enabling pilgrims to make important changes to their Hajj arrangements from home. The latest update aims to simplify the process and provide greater convenience for applicants preparing for the annual pilgrimage.
Under the new features, pilgrims can now modify their accommodation preferences directly through the app. They can choose from two-bed, three-bed, family-room, and sharing options without visiting ministry offices.
Accommodation and Package Changes
In addition, the app allows users to change their Hajj package duration according to their needs. Pilgrims can switch from the long package to the short package or move from the short package to the long package through the digital platform.
The ministry has also introduced a facility for medical fitness certificates. Pilgrims can print the certificate from the app, obtain verification from an authorised doctor, and then upload the verified document through the Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal.
Medical Verification and Refund Facility
Meanwhile, overseas Pakistanis can use the same system to complete their medical requirements. They can obtain fitness certificates from doctors near their place of residence and upload the verified documents online.
Furthermore, successful Hajj applicants can apply for a Mahram or helper under the hardship quota through the app. This feature is expected to make the application process easier for eligible pilgrims.
The ministry has also launched a cancellation and refund facility for applicants facing unavoidable circumstances. As a result, pilgrims who cannot continue with their Hajj plans can now complete the cancellation process and request refunds through the digital platform, improving accessibility and reducing administrative delays.
