Security forces have eliminated 117 terrorists during Operation Shaban and other law enforcement operations across Balochistan since July 5, according to security sources. The ongoing campaign involves the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and police, who continue coordinated operations against militant hideouts across the province.
Security sources said the operation will continue until the last terrorist is neutralised. Meanwhile, authorities remain focused on maintaining pressure through intelligence-based actions across affected areas.
Operation Shaban Continues Across Balochistan
According to security sources, Operation Shaban remains active in different parts of Balochistan.
The joint operation is being carried out by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and police.
Officials said the campaign will continue until all terrorist networks operating in the province are dismantled.
Moreover, security sources stated that militants are being targeted through both air and ground operations.
Fresh Operations Raise Militant Death Toll
Earlier, security sources confirmed that five more terrorists were killed during the latest operations.
As a result, the total number of militants eliminated specifically under Operation Shaban has reached 76.
In addition, security forces recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition from the killed militants.
The recovered items included M4 rifles, submachine guns, rocket launchers, mobile phones, and other equipment.
Operation Launched After Deadly Ziarat Attack
Operation Shaban was launched following the deadly attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station in Ziarat.
According to official figures, 42 people, including security personnel and civilians, were martyred in three recent terrorist attacks across Balochistan.
Earlier, ISPR Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said India-backed terrorists attacked the police checkpoint.
He stated that police personnel fought bravely during the initial engagement and killed 15 militants.
During the attack, nine police personnel embraced martyrdom.
Security officials also said militants took police personnel hostage before reinforcement teams reached the area.
Security Operations Continue
Pakistan has witnessed an increase in terrorist activity, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021.
In response, Pakistan launched Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, targeting terrorist hideouts across the border.
Security officials said the operation killed several Afghan Taliban operatives and injured hundreds more.
Despite multiple rounds of talks, both countries have yet to reach an agreement. According to Pakistani officials, progress has remained limited because of the Afghan Taliban government’s reluctance to act against terrorist groups operating from Afghan territory.
Meanwhile, security forces continue operations across Balochistan as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate militant networks and strengthen security in the province.
