New Toll Charges Effective From July 5
The National Highway Authority has announced a 7 percent increase in toll rates for commuters using the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway. The revised charges will come into effect from July 5, 2026, and will remain applicable until April 23, 2027.
Toll Hike Linked to M-2 Modernization Project
According to an official notification, the increase has been made under the concession agreement signed between NHA and Motorway Operations and Rehabilitation Engineering Private Limited. The company is a subsidiary of the Frontier Works Organization. The agreement covers overlay and modernization work on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.
New Rates for Cars, Buses and Trucks
Under the new toll structure, cars, jeeps, and taxis will be charged Rs 1,430. Wagons will pay Rs 2,390, while coasters will be charged Rs 3,350. The toll rate for buses has been set at Rs 4,770.
Trucks with two or three axles will now pay Rs 6,210. Articulated trucks will be charged Rs 7,980 under the revised rates.
Motorists planning to travel on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway have been advised to check the updated toll rates before starting their journey. The new charges will apply to all vehicle categories from July 5, 2026.
