A newlywed woman was allegedly strangled to death before her body was set on fire in Narowal. The incident occurred in Ghazi Wal Colony on Sunday. Subsequently, police launched an investigation into the suspected murder.
Police Launch Investigation After Incident
Police registered a first information report following the woman’s death. Authorities also shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital for legal formalities.
According to initial information, the victim, Nida, married Ammad three months ago. She was the only sister among six brothers.
Investigators said the suspect allegedly wanted to marry another woman. Consequently, police included the allegations in their ongoing investigation.
Raids Continue To Arrest Suspect
Station House Officer Faheem confirmed that police had started multiple raids. He said authorities were working to arrest the suspect as soon as possible.
Furthermore, the officer expressed confidence that police would take the accused into custody shortly. However, investigators continue collecting evidence to determine the full circumstances.
