Professor Dr. Shakibullah, the Vice-Chancellor of Gomal University, was attacked in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday, but he and his staff remained unharmed.
Dr. Shakibullah’s vehicle was targeted while leaving the Agriculture University in DI Khan. Although the car sustained significant damage, the Vice-Chancellor was not injured.
The attack has raised concerns from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, who has called for a report on the incident. Governor Kundi expressed his deep regret over the attack on university officials and was relieved that Dr. Shakibullah and his team were safe.
