ISLAMABAD: Siraj-ul-Haq, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), has called for the establishment of new caretaker provincial governments, asserting that these interim administrations should uphold the legacy of previous governments while adhering to the framework set by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Haq has highlighted the significance of maintaining impartiality and has underscored the necessity for institutions such as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the establishment to uphold a neutral stance.
Expressing disappointment with the federal government’s response to a recent incident, the JI leader has criticized the authorities for withholding the identity of the assailant responsible for an attack directed at him, despite his repeated inquiries.
Furthermore, Siraj-ul-Haq has chosen not to comment on the issue concerning Bushra Bibi’s diary.
