Prior to the PTI’s long march in the federal capital, about 6,000 Sindh police officers, 90 platoons, and 2,667 members of the Frontier Corps (FC) arrived in Islamabad on their vehicles on Monday, according to reports.
The news precedes the PTI’s lengthy march, which, according to the party, will start when chairman Imran Khan releases the timetable on either Thursday or Friday.
Sources claim that FC staff have been residing in the Faisal Mosque’s yard, while police staff have been housed at the Haji Camp.
In a news conference with Senator Azam Swati on October 22, Khan stated that he would announce the date for his “Haqeeqi Azadi March” coming Thursday or Friday. He also urged the administration not to interfere with the march.
The government had already petitioned the Supreme Court to put an end to the PTI’s lengthy march. The Khan-led party received a boost when the highest court declined to give an interim order to halt the PTI’s planned lengthy march.
The government repeatedly warned the PTI leader before turning to the highest court, with a key official threatening to multiply its May 25 policy by ten if Khan announced another long march.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has stated that the federal government has developed a thorough strategy to prevent the PTI long march from entering the federal capital.
