Famous Young social media influencer Shanifa dies after falling from 19th floor

Shanifa, well-known on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, had amassed a significant following of over 90,000 users.

Shanifa Babu, a prominent social media influencer of Indian origin, tragically fell to her death from a 19th-floor apartment in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, as reported by Khaleej Times.

The incident occurred during her mother’s visit from Dubai, intensifying the grief for her family and followers.

An Indian expat in her late 30s, Shanifa Babu, tragically fell to her death in Fujairah on Saturday morning. Shanifa fell from the balcony of her 19th-floor apartment.

Shanifa, who was married with two daughters, was popular on social media with thousands of followers. At the time of her death, her mother was visiting her from Dubai.

“We have no idea what happened,” said a family friend, who preferred to remain anonymous. “The incident occurred around 9 am, and her husband, mother, and children were in the apartment at the time. Shanifa grew up in the UAE, and her entire extended family lives here. On Saturday, her mother had travelled from Dubai to visit her in Fujairah.”

According to social workers, Shanifa’s mother and husband were at the police station until the early hours of Sunday to complete the formalities. The deceased’s body is currently in the mortuary at Fujairah Hospital.

Shanifa’s husband is an entrepreneur with his own construction firm in the emirate. The couple hailed from the southern Indian state of Kerala.

Shanifa, well-known on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, had amassed a significant following of over 90,000 users.

Just days before her untimely death, she posted a message on TikTok, warning against falling in love with her.

The tragic event took place around 9 am, with Shanifa’s husband, mother, and children reportedly present in the apartment at the time.

News of Shanifa’s passing spread rapidly across social media, prompting an outpouring of condolences from her online community.

Many expressed disbelief and sorrow, reflecting on their virtual connections with Shanifa despite never having met her in person.

Shanifa, who was married to an entrepreneur in the construction business in Fujairah, hailed from the southern Indian state of Kerala. Her sudden death has left her family, friends, and followers in mourning, underscoring the fragility of life in the digital age.
