RAWALPINDI: On Saturday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that security forces successfully thwarted a deadly attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mohmand district. The military’s media wing confirmed that four suicide bombers were killed in the early hours of Friday as they attempted to assault the FC HQ.
According to the ISPR, the security forces prevented the militants from entering the camp, effectively neutralizing all four attackers before they could inflict any harm. “The attempt to breach the camp was thwarted, and the terrorists were eliminated before they could carry out their intended attack,” the statement read. The ISPR emphasized the determination and bravery of Pakistan’s security forces in their ongoing battle against terrorism, affirming their commitment to eradicating the threat.
In a separate incident, five terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces at the Surkhab refugee camp in Pishin district. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) reported that a significant cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists’ hideout.
