Punjab and KP are expected to experience another day of rainfall and thunderstorms tomorrow

Tomorrow, Islamabad and certain areas of KP may experience heavy rain accompanied by hailstorms.

Meanwhile, thunderstorms and rainfall are set to persist across various districts of Punjab until the following day.

Regions likely to be affected include Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khushab, and Nurpur Thal, with a possibility of rain also in Sargodha, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, and Okara, as per the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

A PDMA spokesperson suggests that DG Khan, Multan, Khanewal, and Bahawalpur could encounter thundershowers, emphasizing the extensive coverage of the weather phenomenon.

In addition to Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also poised to see showers and thunderstorms, with the potential for heavy rain accompanied by hailstorms. Islamabad, the capital city, is expected to undergo a hailstorm and heavy rain in the evening.

Moreover, areas such as north Balochistan, south Punjab, and upper Sindh are also anticipated to receive rainfall in the upcoming hours.

Karachi

Meanwhile in Karachi, although the weather is reported as partly cloudy to cloudy, the Met Department notes a high humidity level of 75%. Compared to previous days, there’s a likelihood of a slight reduction in the city’s heat intensity, thanks to the restoration of sea breezes.

The maximum temperature forecasted for the city ranges between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, with winds expected to blow from the southwest direction at a speed of 9 kilometers per hour.

Lahore

Following last night’s rain and storm in Lahore, the heat has subsided. The maximum temperature is expected to peak at 37 degrees Celsius, with the Met Department forecasting additional rainfall within the next 24 hours.

As several cities across Punjab and Sindh prepare for ongoing rainfall, citizens are urged to take necessary precautions and stay informed about weather forecasts to safeguard their safety and well-being amid the fluctuating weather patterns.
