The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi chapter has called for the deployment of Rangers to oversee the upcoming by-elections in Sindh, citing concerns over security and the potential for electoral malpractice.
In a statement, PTI leaders emphasized the need for the paramilitary force’s supervision to ensure a transparent and fair election process. They expressed fears that without proper security measures, the elections could be compromised, undermining the public’s confidence in the integrity of the vote.
The party urged the provincial government to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure that the by-elections are conducted in a peaceful environment. PTI officials stated that the involvement of Rangers would help maintain order and protect the rights of voters during the elections.
