Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and COAS Gen Asim Munir Discuss Defense Cooperation and Saudi Visit

Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir held discussions with Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif, focusing on operational matters of the Pakistan Army. General Munir also briefed the premier on his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, highlighting the outcomes of the trip.

PM Sharif expressed satisfaction with the results of COAS General Asim Munir’s visit to Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the importance of strengthening defense cooperation between the two nations.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, COAS General Asim Munir met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, reaffirming the commitment to bolster defense ties. Crown Prince Salman expressed keenness to enhance bilateral relations, assuring continuous support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan in the future.

The discussions underscored the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with a focus on defense collaboration and strategic cooperation. COAS General Asim Munir also engaged with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and other senior military officials to further strengthen bilateral military relations.
