Power Breakdown leaves several areas of Karachi in dark

KARACHI: Multiple areas of the city were reported to be without electricity in Karachi, a K-Electric official, Imran Rana, stated on Thursday.

“Several outages have been reported from various locations throughout the city. We are looking into the matter and will keep you updated here, the KE spokeswoman wrote on the microblogging platform.

The utility provider also retweeted the tweet.

According to Geo News, the affected areas included Liaquatabad’s C1 area, Federal B Area’s Blocks 11,12,13, Nazimabad’s Block 4 and 3, Kharadar, Lyari, Old City area, Malir Halt, and Rifah-e-Aam society.

Following the breakdown, the city courts and accountability courts were also rendered powerless.
