PM Kakar vows to propel Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar affirmed his dedication to propelling Pakistan towards progress throughout his tenure.

Kakar stated this in his address to the newly appointed cabinet members. Premier highlighted Pakistan’s abundant agricultural and natural resources.

He emphasized his unwavering determination to uphold both domestic and international commitments. He underscored that Pakistan serves as a shining example of diverse religions and languages coexisting harmoniously.

PM Kakar stressed the government’s resolute stance against religious extremism.

He stated firmly, “In our society, there is no room for discrimination or harm against any minority group. We will ensure the prevalence of justice, and our actions will be guided by the principles of law.”

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister expressed his trust in his experienced and capable team. He provided assurance that strategic measures would be taken to address the country’s economic concerns.

Some of the members of the caretaker cabinet of prime minister Anwarul Haq Kakar are 65 years and above in age.

The senior citizens turned new cabinet members who appear 65 years old or above this age group are Sayeda Arfa Zehra, vice-admiral (Retd) Iftikhar Rao, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Jalil Abbas Jilani, Dr. Waqar Masood, air-marshal (Retd) Farhat Hussain and Lt-Gen. (Retd) Anwar Ali Haider, etc.

However, the youngest members of the new caretaker cabinet are: Mushaal Hussain Mallick, wife of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik. She is just 36 years old.

Other young members of the caretaker cabinet who appear in their 40s are Wasi Shah, Aneeq Ahmad, Tabish Gohar, and Dr. Umar Saif, etc.

Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of Kashmiri leader Yaseen Malik, will be a special assistant to the PM on human rights and women empowerment.

A total of six special SAPMS have been appointed _ Wasi Shah for tourism, Jawad Sohrab for overseas Pakistanis, Vice Admiral (r) Iftikhar Rao for maritime affairs, Jehanzeb Khan for SIFC and Syeda Arfa Zehra for education and national harmony.

25-member cabinet of caretaker setup takes oath

Meanwhile, members of the cabinet of the caretaker prime minister Anwarul Haq took oath today. Sixteen cabinet members are federal ministers and nine are advisers and special assistants.

President Arif Alvi administered the oath at a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
