ISLAMABAD: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch announced that three terrorists involved in the Zhob Cantt attack have been identified as Afghan nationals from Kandahar province.
The Foreign Office spokesperson asked the Afghan Embassy in Islamabad to receive the bodies of these Afghan terrorists.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed concern over the involvement of Afghans in terrorist activities within Pakistan. On July 12th, the terrorists attacked a checkpost in the Zhob Cantonment area. In this attack, five terrorists lost their lives while five soldiers embraced martyrdom. Some soldiers sustained critical injuries, and died later on, bringing the total number of martyrs to nine.
The attack occurred when terrorists targeted a checkpoint in Zhob Cantonment. Resulting in the death of five terrorists during the operation.
Unfortunately, five soldiers were critically injured during the encounter. Later succumbed to their injuries, bringing the total number of martyrs to nine.
The ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) stated that the security forces and the nation remain determined to thwart such attempts to disrupt the peace in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the security officials foiled terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate Zhob.
A fierce exchange of fire ensued in the border area, leading to the killing of three terrorists armed with heavy weapons, while four security personnel were injured.
