Al-BADAR-VIII
The National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, hosted the opening ceremony of the Pakistan-Bahrain “Joint Exercise Al-BADAR-VIII.” According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), contingents from the Pakistan Army and Bahrain National Guards are engaged in this two-week-long exercise.
The primary objectives of the exercise include fostering joint employment, enhancing interoperability, and reinforcing the historic military-to-military relations between the two brotherly nations. The Director General Military Training presided as the chief guest during the opening ceremony.
The ISPR highlighted the enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by both countries to mutually benefit from each other’s expertise in the field of counter-terrorism. Al-BADAR, an annual bilateral joint exercise, focuses on enhancing capabilities in the counter-terrorism domain.
Earlier this month, during a two-day official visit to Bahrain, the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, bestowed the Military Medal Order of Bahrain First Class upon Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen Syed Asim Munir. This honor was in recognition of Gen Asim’s significant efforts and contributions to strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
The joint exercise not only underscores the commitment of both nations to combating terrorism but also serves as a platform for sharing military expertise and reinforcing the enduring bonds of friendship.
The participation of contingents from both the Pakistan Army and Bahrain National Guards reflects the collaborative spirit aimed at enhancing their collective capabilities in the critical domain of counter-terrorism. Overall, Pakistan-Bahrain joint exercise ‘Al-BADAR-VIII’ commences with opening ceremony at National Counter Terrorism centre in Pabbi, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
