Medical Collaboration Enhances Heart Care in Quetta

The Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiac Hospital in Quetta and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) Hospital in Karachi have solidified their collaboration through the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

The concerted efforts of military leadership and the district administration are actively engaged in a transformative initiative to elevate Balochistan into a thriving and prosperous province.

In the city of Quetta, the pioneering Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Quetta Institute of Cardiology Hospital and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and Vascular Diseases Karachi have forged a strategic agreement, with a primary focus on pediatric heart conditions and their treatment and management.

As part of this collaboration, NICVD Karachi will dispatch a dedicated team of doctors every fortnight to the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiac Hospital in Quetta, specifically to address pediatric heart conditions. This initiative aims to enhance and broaden the scope of available medical expertise, providing complimentary treatment facilities for pediatric heart ailments at the cutting-edge ICQ Hospital situated in Balochistan.

ICQ has already marked significant milestones with over 100 successful operations, 1300 angiographies, and more than 500 successful angioplasty surgeries. The achievements in successful surgeries at ICQ were recently commemorated with a ceremony featuring a symbolic cake-cutting event.

This collaboration not only underscores the commitment to advancing medical care in the region but also exemplifies a broader vision for cooperative efforts between healthcare institutions to address critical health issues and improve the overall well-being of the population.
