Law Enforcement Cracks Down: 80 Arrested for Illegal Weapon Possession


In a resolute effort to tackle the rampant issue of illegal arms possession, the Pakpattan police, under the strategic leadership of District Police Chief Tariq Wilayat, initiated a comprehensive crackdown. This proactive measure resulted in the apprehension of 80 individuals who were found in possession of unauthorized firearms, prompting swift and decisive action from law enforcement authorities.

After the arrests, 80 cases were registered against the offenders, highlighting the seriousness with which the authorities address the illegal possession of firearms. The concerted efforts of the police led to the successful recovery of a significant cache of weaponry, comprising 68 pistols, five rifles, seven guns, and 228 bullets confiscated from the possession of these lawbreakers.

DPO Wilayat reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies to safeguard peace and security across the region. He underscored the implementation of stringent measures to combat the menace of illegal arms possession effectively. Furthermore, Wilayat urged citizens to actively collaborate with the police by promptly reporting any suspicious activities or individuals involved in criminal behavior.

This crackdown serves as a testament to the Pakpattan police’s determination to combat criminal elements and uphold law and order within the district. By enforcing rigorous measures against the possession of illegal weapons, the police endeavor to create a safe and secure environment conducive to the well-being of all residents.
