Strict restrictions have been enforced, preventing unauthorized individuals and vehicles from accessing the jail’s surroundings, while only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
To manage media presence while adhering to security protocols, media satellite vehicles will be permitted to park at a designated location approximately two kilometers away from Adiala Jail. This arrangement ensures media coverage while minimizing potential security risks.
These measures were implemented during the ongoing National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, which took place inside the jail. Bushra Bibi was transferred from Bani Gala sub-jail to Adiala Jail, where Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana presided over the hearing.
Bushra Bibi’s daughters, Mehrunnisa and Mubashira, visited Adiala Jail to meet their mother. Accompanying them were Imran Khan’s relatives and legal representatives, such as Umair Niazi, Usman Riaz, Khalid Yousuf, and Barrister Ali Zafar. Meanwhile, a scheduled emergency drill at the prison was postponed, as per sources.
