Imran Maniar has announced his resignation from his position as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC), as revealed in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday. Maniar is stepping down to explore new opportunities.
The board of directors at SSGC held an emergency meeting on September 2 to address Maniar’s resignation. The statement confirmed that the board accepted Maniar’s decision and noted that his last working day will be September 13, 2024.
Maniar, who has over 30 years of experience in private equity and corporate management, has been instrumental in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, capital market transactions, logistics, and oil field services. Before joining SSGC, he held roles as Chief Financial Officer for Marquard and Bahls AG, GL Noble Denton, and Eagle Ford Oil and Gas. His career also includes key positions such as Manager of Strategic Planning at Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, Partner at Millennium Ventures LLC, and Analyst at Solvay.
