FBR to Suspend Officers Seeking Preferred Positions

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a ban on choice postings within the organization.

This decision follows growing concerns about officers using personal influence to secure preferred assignments. The FBR stated that such practices undermine the institution’s integrity and set a poor example for junior staff.

In a statement, the FBR expressed alarm over mid-level officers exploiting external connections to obtain arbitrary transfers and postings. This not only harms the organization’s reputation but also breaches FBR regulations.

The FBR has warned that such actions could result in immediate suspension or even dismissal of the implicated officers and employees.
