CTD Pursues and Eliminates Five Terrorists in Pishin, Balochistan

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan has successfully neutralized five terrorists during an intelligence-led operation in Pishin district, targeting the Surkhab refugee camp, a known hotspot for militant activities.

According to a CTD spokesperson, the operation was initiated based on reliable intelligence about the presence of armed terrorists in the area. The ensuing exchange of fire between security forces and the terrorists resulted in the death of all five militants.

In addition to neutralizing the terrorists, the CTD recovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition from their hideout, significantly disrupting the terrorist network in the region.

In a separate development, the CTD Punjab reported the arrest of 33 terrorists linked to banned organizations during a series of covert operations across Punjab, including Lahore. Among those arrested were six individuals captured in Lahore, including a key member of the banned Al-Qaeda group. The operations extended to cities such as Nankana Sahib, Bahawalpur, and Sheikhupura.

The authorities seized a significant amount of explosive materials, weapons, hand grenades, equipment for making suicide vests, and a large sum of money from the suspects. The arrested individuals were allegedly planning attacks on sensitive installations. The CTD has filed cases against the suspects and continues to investigate to uncover the full scope of their plans and any additional accomplices.
