Complimentary lunches will commence in Islamabad schools starting from this week

Starting from this very week, the magnificent city, Islamabad will witness an extraordinary transformation in its schools by providing complimentary lunches, feasts on daily basis to the students. This remarkable initiative is set to revolutionize the educational experience.

A new initiative has been launched by the federal government in their educational institutions, focusing on offering healthy mid-day meals to students at no cost.

Education Secretary Mohiuddin Wani unveiled a new initiative, highlighting the government’s dedication to providing students nationwide with crucial resources.

During the initial stage of the program, it was mentioned that 40 primary schools would begin receiving mid-day meals starting from the current week. Out of these, 20 schools located in both Tarnol and Nilore sectors are expected to gain access to the free meal program commencing this week.

Secretary Wani emphasized the joint initiative taken by the government and a trust to ensure that school children receive their meals.

He emphasized once again the significance of guaranteeing that each child receives sufficient nourishment to foster their education and growth.

Additionally, Secretary Wani detailed the program’s growth strategy, unveiling that complimentary meals will be implemented in all primary schools within Islamabad within the upcoming two months.

The objective of this expansion is to cater to a more diverse range of students and tackle the issue of food insecurity faced by school-going children.
