PDMA Issues widespread Rainfall Alert for Punjab from today, Warns of Potential Disruptions

ISLAMABAD: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert for widespread rainfall across Punjab from March 25 to 27, urging authorities to remain vigilant against possible disruptions.

According to the Meteorological Department, most districts in Punjab are expected to receive rainfall during this period, with Murree, Galiyat, and other mountainous regions likely to experience rain and snowfall.

Affected districts include Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Sialkot. In southern Punjab, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Layyah, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan are also expected to be impacted.

PDMA has urged local administrations and rescue agencies to stay on high alert and implement necessary safety measures. Residents, especially in hilly and low-lying areas prone to flooding, have been advised to exercise caution.
