RAWALPINDI: On Tuesday, at the Investiture ceremony held at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza honored eminent scientists and engineers from strategic organizations with civil awards, as announced by the military in a statement.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a total of 35 individuals were recognized for their meritorious services.

Among the recipients, seven officers were bestowed with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, a prestigious honor, while 15 officers were presented with the President’s Award for Pride of Performance, acknowledging their outstanding contributions. Additionally, 13 officers were granted the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for their noteworthy achievements and dedication.
During the ceremony, Gen. Mirza took the opportunity to laud the exceptional services rendered by the scientists and engineers, referring to them as the nation’s unsung heroes. He emphasized their crucial role in bolstering the country’s strategic capabilities and applauded their unwavering commitment to national progress and security.
Addressing the awardees, the CJCSC expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, “You, all, have selflessly contributed towards strengthening the foundations of a resilient nation; and for that, we are forever indebted to you.” His words underscored the profound appreciation felt by the nation for the invaluable contributions of these individuals to the advancement and security of the country.
