Balochistan Government
The Balochistan government has launched a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing employment opportunities to the province’s youth by sending 30,000 skilled and talented individuals abroad.
This program is a significant step towards addressing the unemployment issues faced by the region’s young population, while simultaneously enhancing the employability of the youth on an international scale.
As part of the initiative, agreements have already been finalized with three countries—Germany, Romania, and Saudi Arabia. These countries have committed to offering job opportunities in various sectors for the youth from Balochistan.
The Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (BTEVTA) is spearheading the effort and has been tasked with overseeing the training and selection processes for potential candidates.
In the first phase of the program, BTEVTA has received a total of 6,000 applications from young individuals across the province.
A rigorous screening process will be conducted to assess their qualifications and skills, ensuring that only the most suitable candidates are selected for training.
This is an essential step, as the program aims to send individuals who are not only skilled but also equipped with the necessary training to excel in their respective jobs abroad.
According to MD Tariq Mengal, once the candidates are selected, the training will commence. The first batch of selected candidates will be sent to Saudi Arabia and Romania, where they will be employed in the construction sector.
Meanwhile, those selected for Germany will be provided opportunities in the health and IT industries, which are facing a significant demand for skilled professionals. This targeted approach ensures that the youth of Balochistan will be trained and employed in sectors with high global demand.
The broader goal of this initiative is to reduce the high unemployment rates in Balochistan by connecting the province’s skilled youth with international job markets.
By facilitating employment abroad, the program not only addresses the issue of unemployment but also opens avenues for economic growth, knowledge exchange, and professional development for the youth of the region.
As the initiative progresses, it is expected to make a significant impact on the province’s socio-economic landscape.
