The alleged perpetrator is said to have subjected the student to physical violence due to their inability to recall the lesson.
On Saturday, law enforcement officials in Bhalwal, Punjab, filed a report against a teacher, who is believed to have caused the tragic death of a teenage student through severe beating.
The victim, identified as 14-year-old Samiullah, was a student of class-9 at Punjab Learners School System in Badar Ranjha, falling under the jurisdictions of Midh Ranjha Police Station.
A manhunt is underway to apprehend the teacher involved in the said incident.
Saifullah, the victim’s father, submitted a complaint stating that Fahad Khurram, the accused, allegedly caused the student’s death by mercilessly beating him with a wooden stick on February 29, due to his inability to memorize his lessons.
The Sargodha Police reported that a young student was transferred to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for medical treatment; however, unfortunately, he did not survive.
Saifullah chose not to file a complaint against the suspect initially because his son was receiving medical attention in the hospital. Unfortunately, the student passed away on March 8, which prompted Saifullah to contact the police.
According to police sources, Khurram was unable to be apprehended due to him obtaining a protective bail order from the court.
It is crucial to mention that instances of student deaths resulting from teacher violence have occurred in both schools and madrassas. The Sargodha Police have recently registered a case concerning an incident that took place two days prior. The investigation into this matter is currently ongoing.
