The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new doorstep service for elderly and disabled citizens, making identity card services more accessible.
The initiative allows eligible individuals to complete selected NADRA services without visiting a registration centre. Instead, they can schedule a home visit through an official appointment system.
The move aims to make the process easier for people who face mobility challenges or are unable to travel.
Doorstep Service for CNIC Renewal and Modification
According to NADRA, elderly and disabled citizens who cannot visit a registration centre can now request a home visit.
After booking an appointment, a NADRA biker will visit the applicant’s residence to provide identity card services.
The facility covers CNIC renewal and modification services, allowing applicants to complete the process from their homes.
As a result, eligible citizens can avoid long queues and unnecessary travel.
Service Available in Selected Cities
At present, the doorstep service is available in several major cities across Pakistan.
These include Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Taxila, Wah Cantt, Lahore, Karachi and Hyderabad.
NADRA said the service is designed to improve accessibility for people who require additional support while obtaining identity-related services.
How to Book an Appointment
Citizens can schedule a home visit through NADRA’s official helpline.
Appointments can be booked by calling 051-111-786-100 or by dialling the mobile short code 1777.
After confirmation, a NADRA representative will visit the applicant’s home to process the requested service.
Initiative Aims to Improve Public Access
The new service reflects NADRA’s efforts to make essential identity services more convenient for vulnerable segments of society.
By introducing home visits, the authority hopes to reduce the difficulties faced by elderly and disabled citizens when accessing CNIC-related services.
