The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has clarified the processing time for applications submitted through the Pak ID mobile application. The authority said applications marked “Ready for Approval” can take up to 48 hours after applicants pay the required fee.
NADRA advised applicants to allow sufficient time for their requests to complete the approval process. However, users whose applications remain pending beyond 48 hours can contact the authority for assistance and further guidance.
NADRA Provides Helpline Details
Applicants facing delays can contact NADRA through its helpline at 051-111-786-100 or by calling 1777 from a mobile phone. They can also visit their nearest NADRA office and provide their application details to seek assistance.
The clarification aims to address confusion among Pak ID users regarding applications that remain under the “Ready for Approval” status. Therefore, applicants do not need to immediately assume that a delayed approval indicates a problem with their application.
Meanwhile, NADRA has introduced several features in version 5.8.0 of the Pak ID application. The updated platform allows citizens to obtain, securely store, and share digital identity cards for eligible spouses and children alongside their own digital ID.

Furthermore, users can verify Child Registration Certificates and Cancellation Certificates by scanning their digital QR codes through the application. The updated app also simplifies biometric verification for influenza and meningitis vaccinations required for Hajj and Umrah.
NADRA has urged citizens to download the latest version of the Pak ID app to access these services. The authority continues to expand digital identity facilities to make registration and document-related services more convenient for citizens.
