Murree authorities have announced temporary traffic restrictions and a detailed security plan ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram to maintain public safety and support visitor movement during the religious period.
Tourists planning to travel to the hill station have been advised to review travel arrangements before departure. However, officials clarified that tourist activities across most areas of Murree will continue as usual.
Security Plan Finalized for Muharram in Murree
Murree Police have completed preparations for Muharram and introduced a security and traffic management strategy for the coming days.

District Police Officer Murree, Dr. Muhammad Raza Tanvir, said special measures would remain in place during key Muharram events.
Ashura Procession Route Announced
Authorities stated that the main Ashura procession on 10th Muharram will begin from the central Imambargah in Lower Bazaar.
The procession will move through Mall Road before returning to the same location.
Because of these arrangements, security personnel will remain deployed across the route.
