Mir Raza’s parents have requested direct supervision of the investigation into their son’s death. They submitted the request to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
Through their lawyer, Jibran Nasir, the family sent a detailed letter on Wednesday. They sought greater oversight of the ongoing murder investigation.
The family also requested a departmental inquiry into the original investigation team. Additionally, they urged authorities to suspend officers involved in the earlier probe.
Family Raises Concerns Over Investigation
The letter criticised the performance of the current investigation team and senior officials. It alleged that authorities failed to take necessary action against the original team.
According to the family, the investigation continues to face serious challenges. They claimed investigators appeared focused on maintaining a suicide narrative.
The letter further alleged that influential individuals were attempting to suppress the truth. The family expressed concerns about transparency and accountability in the case.
Call for Inquiry and Officer Suspension
The family urged the chief minister to ensure a fair and transparent investigation. They asked him to personally oversee the process and address their concerns.
Moreover, the letter demanded the immediate suspension of officers involved in the original inquiry. The family argued that their continued postings could affect the investigation.
They warned of possible witness intimidation, evidence tampering, and procedural obstacles. Consequently, they called for urgent action to safeguard the integrity of the probe.
The 22-page letter also detailed the incident and subsequent investigations. It reviewed controversies surrounding the case and outlined the family’s concerns regarding the handling of the matter.
