MG Motor Pakistan has confirmed that the all-new MG ZS Hybrid will officially launch on July 29, 2026. Meanwhile, the announcement ends weeks of speculation surrounding the company’s latest SUV teaser campaign.
Second-Generation ZS Brings Hybrid Technology
MG confirmed the upcoming model is the second-generation ZS Hybrid, featuring a complete redesign. Furthermore, the SUV offers a refreshed exterior, an updated cabin and an improved hybrid powertrain.
Internationally, the ZS Hybrid+ combines a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with an electric motor. Additionally, the self-charging hybrid system uses a three-speed hybrid transmission.
In overseas markets, the powertrain includes a 1.83kWh battery and a 100kW electric motor. The combined system produces 158kW of power in international specifications.
However, MG Pakistan has not confirmed whether the local model will use identical technical specifications. More details are expected during the official launch event.
Price And Specifications Await Official Announcement
The international ZS Hybrid+ offers a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, higher variants include MG Pilot safety technology, seven airbags and a 360-degree camera.
Top-spec models also feature a panoramic sunroof and an electric tailgate. Additionally, the new generation provides a larger body and increased luggage capacity.
The international model offers a 443-litre boot that expands to 1,457 litres with the rear seats folded. However, MG has not confirmed whether Pakistani variants will include the same features.
The company has also withheld local pricing, variant details and booking information. Consequently, customers will receive complete specifications when the MG ZS Hybrid officially launches on July 29.
