Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz celebrated her daughter Mahnoor Safdar’s graduation from SOAS University of London. Mahnoor, the youngest daughter of Maryam Nawaz, completed her degree in Anthropology from the London university from 2023 to 2026.
Maryam attended the graduation ceremony during a brief private visit to London, which she made specifically for the occasion.
The Punjab chief minister described her daughter’s graduation as a deeply proud and joyful moment for the family.
She said parents could experience few moments greater than watching their children complete their education successfully.
Maryam also said all three of her children had now completed their higher education.
PML-N unity and governance
During her London visit, Maryam also met PML-N UK leaders Ahsan Dar and Khurram Butt at a luncheon.
However, she rejected reports suggesting divisions within the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
Responding to questions about internal differences and debates over new provinces, Maryam said the PML-N remained united.
She recalled that several people had previously attempted to divide the party, but the PML-N continued to stand together.
Meanwhile, Maryam also discussed governance and development during her interaction with reporters.
She urged other provinces to adopt similar approaches to Punjab and stressed that visible progress required sustained effort.
The chief minister said her government was working continuously to improve development and public welfare across Punjab.
She added that governments must work hard if they want citizens to see clear improvements in their daily lives.
Maryam’s private London visit included no announced political engagements, while her daughter’s graduation remained the central purpose of the trip.
