Her comment quickly generated excitement among fans. Many social media users began wondering whether the filmmakers could develop a sequel or another project within the same cinematic universe.
Fans Hope for Star-Studded Return
For many viewers, the possibility of seeing Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan and other cast members together again proved particularly exciting.
One fan expressed a desire to watch another film featuring the same ensemble. The follower also noted that productions of this scale often take considerable time to complete and release.
Meanwhile, not everyone welcomed the possibility equally. Some social media users revived criticism of Mahira’s acting performance in the blockbuster.
Others questioned her Punjabi accent and delivery in the film.
Despite the mixed reactions, Mahira’s post has renewed interest in the franchise. However, she did not confirm whether a sequel or new project is actually under development.
The Legend of Maula Jatt became one of Pakistan’s most successful films following its release. Therefore, any potential continuation would likely attract significant attention from audiences.
