The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited faculty members from public and private universities to apply for Phase XIII of the Pak-France PERIDOT Mobility Grant Programme.
The programme aims to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation between Pakistan and France. Moreover, it encourages researchers from both countries to develop long-term academic partnerships.
The initiative is jointly implemented by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI), and the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
Programme promotes international research collaboration
The PERIDOT Mobility Grant supports the exchange of researchers between Pakistan and France.
As a result, participating researchers can establish new collaborations between higher education institutions and research laboratories in both countries.
The programme also seeks to encourage joint scientific research and strengthen academic cooperation across priority sectors.
HEC identifies three priority research areas
For Phase XIII, the Higher Education Commission has announced three priority fields for research proposals.
These include:
- Health Sciences
- Sustainable Energy, Agriculture and Food Security
- Economics of Climate Change
Applicants should ensure that their research proposals fall within one of these priority areas.
Joint application with French researcher is mandatory
Faculty members interested in the programme must submit a joint application with a French faculty member.
In addition, applicants must first submit the same joint proposal to Campus France before applying through the Higher Education Commission.
This requirement is mandatory for all applicants seeking funding under the programme.
Application deadline and submission details
The online application portal opened on July 6, 2026.
Interested faculty members must submit their proposals to the Higher Education Commission by September 30, 2026, no later than 4:00 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
Applicants are encouraged to complete the submission process before the deadline to avoid last-minute delays.
Programme supports global academic partnerships
The PERIDOT programme operates under the Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) framework.
Over the years, it has provided Pakistani researchers with opportunities to participate in high-level international scientific collaboration.
Through this initiative, researchers can strengthen academic partnerships, expand research networks, and promote knowledge exchange between Pakistan and France.
Faculty members seeking additional information and detailed application guidelines can access them through the official Higher Education Commission website.
