A tragic incident unfolded in Sharjah as a 7-year-old boy lost his life inside a car after being inadvertently left by an unlicensed driver, as per Sharjah Police reports.
According to Khaleej Times, authorities were alerted to the incident on Tuesday afternoon. The child, of Asian nationality, had been left in the parked car outside the school since the morning.
The boy’s parents had arranged for a female driver to transport their child to and from school. Upon arrival at the school, everyone disembarked except the child. Unfortunately, the driver, without verifying if anyone remained in the car, locked the doors and departed with her husband.
When it was time for students to return home, the tragic discovery was made that the child had been left behind and had tragically passed away.
Authorities have issued a caution to residents regarding the risks associated with entrusting unlicensed drivers with transporting students to school. They strongly advise parents to utilize designated school buses, which adhere to stringent safety standards and are under continuous supervision by relevant authorities.
Alternatively, parents are encouraged to personally chauffeur their children to school, as they are inherently more committed to ensuring their children’s complete safety and well-being.
