Top Corps Commanders Unite in Solidarity: Express Full Support for Election Commission

RAWALPINDI: During the two-day Corps Commander Conference, held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi and chaired by General Asim Munir, a pivotal decision was reached on Thursday. The high-level military gathering resolved to extend comprehensive support for the upcoming general election in the country.

Emphasizing the importance of a fair democratic process, the conference affirmed its commitment to providing all necessary assistance to ensure the success and integrity of the electoral proceedings.

A statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) highlighted the conference’s dedication to supporting the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in its mandate for conducting free and fair elections.

The military leadership, under General Munir’s guidance, underscored the significance of a robust electoral system and pledged cooperation with the ECP to facilitate the electoral process.

Beyond electoral matters, the conference addressed critical national security issues. It was resolved that all terrorists and their facilitators would face the full force of the state, reinforcing a strong stance against those posing a threat to the nation’s security.

The Corps Commander Conference also conducted a thorough review of actions taken against various illegal activities, including smuggling, electricity theft, and hoarding, with a commitment from the Pakistan Army to collaborate with government institutions and law enforcement agencies to combat such crimes.

Furthermore, the conference expressed support for the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s efforts to attract investment into the country, recognizing the importance of economic development and stability. Additionally, the Corps Commanders voiced condemnation for the ongoing human rights violations in Kashmir and Palestine, showcasing Pakistan’s commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of people in conflict zones.
