ISLAMABAD: Police have successfully rescued three women and four minor girls from the suspects resident in the Fatima murder case.
SSP Mir Rohal Khoso stated that they have successfully returned three women and girls to their homes.
He emphasized that the rescue of all the women and girls employed at the suspect’s residence is underway. He further affirmed that putting an end to century-old traditions will require time and effort.

Prior to this, the police apprehended Ali Hassan Wassan, the medical superintendent (MS) of the Ranipur Rural Health Centre.
Wassan’s arrest was made on multiple counts linked to the torture and murder of the housemaid, Fatima. He stands accused of aiding the main suspect, Asad Shah, and concealing crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation.
Among the charges against Wassan is the alleged facilitation of Asad Shah, wherein he reportedly used an ambulance to transport Fatima’s body without conducting the necessary post-mortem examination.
Additionally, he faces accusations of withholding critical information pertinent to the case.
Medical report
The medical board has apprehended rape of child maid Fatima, who was killed in Ranipur Haveli, quoting a top police official.
DIG Jiskani said, “We have decided to take remand of the under investigation former SHO, head muharrir, doctor and compounder.”
“The accused will be booked in the case to water down facts and burial of the victim without a post-mortem,” a top police official said.
DIG Police Sukkur has confirmed that directives have been issued to ensure the safe rescue of the children who are currently situated in the Haveli.
“A police camp will be set up in the haveli to collect DNA samples of all persons,” police official said.
According to the initial post-mortem report, Fatima’s body was in its initial phase of decomposition. “Her face was blue on the one side and green on the other,” according to the report.
The report further said, “There were torture marks on the body including eyes, waist, forehead, feet, knees and hands.” Some samples have been sent to the lab for micro-biology tests.”
It’s important to highlight that in Khairpur, the life of ten-year-old Fatima was tragically cut short due to apparent acts of violence.
Disturbing videos that revealed evidence of abuse inflicted upon the innocent girl’s body had also come to light. Fatima was employed at the residence of a notable individual.
The video depicted the child enduring distressing circumstances within the employer’s house. Subsequently, the employer buried Fatima’s body without subjecting it to a post-mortem examination.
