Special court blocks CNICs and passports of six individuals including Moonis Elahi in money laundering case

LAHORE: A Special Central Court in Lahore has ordered the blocking of identity cards and passports for six individuals, including Moonis Elahi, in connection with the FIA’s money laundering case.

The court has also instructed that the names of the accused be added to the passport control list, thereby preventing them from traveling abroad.

Additionally, the court has mandated the freezing of Moonis Elahi’s assets, including over 26 kanals of land in Kasur, a plot, and a house in Gulberg, Lahore, all registered under his name.

Presiding Judge Tanveer Ahmed Shaikh has requested a report on the implementation of these orders by the next hearing.

The proceedings have been adjourned until September 19, when the case will continue.

Meanwhile, the FIA is pressing on with its investigation into the high-profile money laundering case.
