Sidhu Moosewala Murder Mastermind Goldy Brar Killed in California Gang War

A portion of the Indian media has circulated unverified information suggesting that Satwinder Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, a purported ‘gangster’ linked to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has been fatally shot in the United States amidst purported gang tensions in California.

Reportedly, the incident occurred on Tuesday (April 30) around 5:30 pm local time at Fairmont and Holt Avenue in California. Born in 1994 in Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, Brar was said to be residing in Brampton, Canada.

According to these reports, Brar was outside his residence when unidentified assailants opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. Two individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Brar was pronounced dead.

Initially, the Times of India published news regarding Brar’s murder but later removed it from its website. Other Indian media outlets, referencing US reports, suggested that the gangster purportedly responsible for Sidhu Moosewala’s murder was shot dead.

The Dalla Lakhbir gang, headed by Arshdeep Singh (Arsh Dalla) and Lakhbir Singh Sandhu (Landa), has been a persistent challenge for law enforcement. Operating from Canadian territory, its members have allegedly orchestrated criminal activities in India.

Regarding Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, which occurred on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village, Mansa district, Goldy Brar had previously claimed responsibility. The Indian Union Home Ministry had designated Brar as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, implicating him as the mastermind behind Moosewala’s killing.

According to the ministry’s notification, Brar was allegedly involved in smuggling high-grade arms, ammunition, and explosives via drones from across the border, subsequently supplying them for assassinations and providing sharpshooters.
