A female student from a private university in Islamabad has reportedly been subjected to a gang rape by a colleague and his associate, according to police confirmation.
The assault occurred within the jurisdiction of Shalimar police station, specifically in a flat located in Sector E-11-2 of the capital city. The police have promptly registered the case, and two suspects, Zaheer and Daniyal, have been arrested. The victim filed a complaint, and it was reported that the suspects filmed the incident and subsequently threatened the young woman.
The Shalimar police have initiated further investigation into the matter, focusing on the arrested individuals.
In a similar incident on January 11, another girl was allegedly gang-raped within the confines of the Shalimar police station in Islamabad. This separate case led to the registration of charges against the accused, with the victim recounting that Zeeshan and two associates assaulted her at gunpoint.
The victim detailed that Zeeshan took her to the E-11 center in a car, driving around before calling Hamza and two additional friends. Subsequently, she was coerced to sit in the back seat of the car, and weapons were brandished by Zeeshan.
These incidents underscore the alarming prevalence of sexual violence and the urgent need for comprehensive measures to address and prevent such heinous crimes. Authorities must ensure a thorough and fair investigation while providing adequate support to the victims.
