KARACHI: Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon has unveiled new transportation projects for Sindh, particularly in Karachi, immediately after Eid ul Fitr.
In a post on X, Sharjeel Memon shared, “Great news for the people of Sindh. Under the guidance of Chairman @BBhuttoZardari, the Transport Department is set to initiate new transport projects in Sindh right after the Eid Holidays.”
Providing further insights into the projects, Sindh Minister Sharjeel Memon mentioned that the second phase of the Pink Bus Service for Women in Karachi will be rolled out following the Eid ul Fitr holidays.

Additionally, new routes for EV buses in Karachi and the introduction of the People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas are on the agenda.
The minister also announced that the Sindh government, led by the Pakistan People’s Party, plans to introduce a complimentary shuttle service between the Orange Line BRT and Green Line BRT for the residents of Karachi post-Eid.
In a recent update on another BRT project, Sharjeel Memon stated, “We are gearing up to commence the ground-breaking of the BRT Yellow Line after Eid, with the first phase involving the rebuilding of Jam Sadiq Bridge in Korangi as part of the project.”
Furthermore, he hinted at the imminent procurement of 500 additional buses, which will expand the fleet of the Peoples Bus Service.
