On Thursday, security forces conducted a joint intelligence-based operation in Tank, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the army engaged in a tense firefight before successfully neutralizing the terrorists.
“In the course of the operation, amid intense exchange of fire, three terrorists were effectively neutralized and eradicated. These individuals have been identified as terrorist Ringleader Azmat, also known as Azmati, terrorist Ringleader Karamat, known as Hanzla, and Terrorist Rehan,” stated ISPR.
The statement further revealed that the deceased terrorists were actively involved in various terrorist activities in the region, including the recent abduction of a District & Sessions Judge of South Waziristan District.
ISPR emphasized the unwavering commitment of security forces to eradicate terrorism from the country, underscoring their determination to maintain peace and security.
Earlier, in the Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two militants involved in target killings and extortion met their end during a fierce exchange of gunfire with security forces, according to the ISPR on Sunday.
The military’s media wing reported that an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in Dera Ismail Khan on April 28, targeting reported terrorist hideouts.
“During the operation, a significant exchange of fire occurred between our troops and the terrorists, resulting in the successful neutralization of two terrorists; Faheem Nawaz alias Gandapuri and Mohsin Nawaz,” stated the ISPR.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the deceased terrorists, who were actively involved in various terrorist activities, including target killings and extortion against both security forces and innocent civilians.
